Getting Involved

Not everyone wants to get involved in the same way.

On this page we have a variety of ways you can get involved with the Denver Fair.

Volunteer Your Time During the Fair

Exhibit Security

We need people to watch exhibits during the week of the Fair. This involves sitting or standing in the Denver Rec Center and keeping an eye on the exhibits. We like to have pairs working in shifts. Are you a late night owl?

We need people to come to the Fairgrounds at closing time and help pick up trash. This involves walking around the Fairgrounds and picking up trash laying on the ground. It also involves helping to get all the rolling dumpster containers to the trash pick up site. If you are interested in helping in this way please contact Anne Worley at 717-336-7652.

Can only help on Monday evening - the day before the Fair opens?

We need people to help register and place exhibit entries. This involves writing tags, placing exhibits on display, and arranging exhibits for judging. If you are interested in any of these tasks and are available on Monday, September 14th any time between 2 pm and 10 pm please contact Denise Eshleman at denverfair@dejazzd.com or call 717-336-4717.

Setup and Tear Down Volunteers

We need volunteers to assist us with set up and tear down of the Fair every year. Set up will begin on Thursday prior to the Fair at 7 pm. Meet at the Denver Fair Office. We continue to setup on Friday evening prior to the fair and all day Saturday. We also l need volunteers to assist with tear down on the Sunday after the Fair starting at 1 pm.
